The Indian government has voiced serious concern regarding the kidnapping of three Indian citizens in Mali. The incident occurred during a recent wave of terrorist activity in the region. The individuals, employed at the Diamond Cement Factory in Kayes, were taken hostage during a planned armed assault on July 1st. India has urged the Malian government to take immediate action to secure their safe and prompt release. The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed the incident, stating that the Indian Embassy in Bamako is actively coordinating with local authorities, security forces, and the Diamond Cement Factory to facilitate their safe return. Constant communication is also being maintained with the families of the abducted individuals. The government strongly condemns the act of violence and is committed to providing all possible support to the families.
