A major rail accident occurred in Sahibganj, Jharkhand, on Thursday morning. A goods train loaded with stones derailed at the Barharwa railway loading point. While there were no reported casualties, the incident has caused substantial losses to the railway. Railway officials are on-site to assess the damage and investigate the cause of the derailment. Approximately 18 wagons of the goods train were derailed in the accident. The station manager, RPF, and senior officials from the Malda DRM office have arrived at the scene to oversee the investigation. The exact extent of the financial loss to the railway is still being determined.
