Monsoon arrived in Chhattisgarh approximately 15 days earlier than usual this year. The monsoon fully activated across the state from June 18th. Good rainfall has been recorded in 75% of the state over the past 15 days. The state capital, Raipur, along with several other areas, has been experiencing continuous rainfall for the last three days. This persistent rainfall has brought a cooling effect to the weather, and rivers and streams are now overflowing. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall across the state.
