The monsoon season has brought welcome relief and cooler temperatures to many regions, while also causing disruption in some areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts continued rainfall, with heavy showers anticipated across central and northwestern India over the next 4-5 days. The IMD warns of potential displacement and infrastructure damage due to extreme weather events, urging residents to remain vigilant. Several states, including East Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, West Uttar Pradesh, South Haryana, East Uttar Pradesh, and West Rajasthan, are under Yellow and Red alerts. Delhi has experienced rainfall, bringing down temperatures, with the IMD predicting continued rain with thunderstorms and lightning until July 17. Southern states like Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh are expected to receive light showers. Hot and humid conditions are expected in parts of East Assam on July 12, and in Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Rayalaseema until July 13.
