Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Iranian Supreme Leader, has issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s aid distribution methods in Gaza, labeling them as a ‘cheap form of genocide.’ Khamenei, in a post on Telegram, accused Israel of forcing Palestinians into a dire situation: ‘either perish under the rubble of hunger or get shot trying to obtain a food package.’ He further stated, ‘This is a cheap form of genocide, calculated with Western precision. A nation that once died under bombs worth hundreds of thousands of dollars now dies in food lines from bullets that cost mere dollars.’ The remarks come amid a severe humanitarian crisis, with reports indicating that hundreds of Palestinians have been killed or injured while seeking aid. The UNRWA Chief, Philippe Lazzarini, has also criticized the situation, stating that inaction and silence are complicity in the ongoing tragedy.
