A 24-year-old woman, identified as Shivani Kumari, who was nine months pregnant, was found dead by suicide in the Tiliya police station area of Koderma. The incident occurred on Saturday evening at her residence on Devi Mandap Road. According to a neighbor, Sapan Kumar, they heard cries coming from Shivani’s house and went to investigate. They discovered her body on a bed inside. Shivani’s sister informed them that she had hanged herself. The woman was due to deliver her baby this month. Her sister had arrived to assist with the delivery. Reportedly, Shivani had a dispute with her husband and sister earlier that afternoon. Later, her husband went to another room, while Shivani went to a separate room. The husband, who was asleep, was awakened by the sound of their children crying. He then found his wife hanging from the ceiling fan. The body was taken down and brought to the Sadar Hospital Koderma. The deceased, who was a mother of two, lived with her fruit vendor husband in a rented house. Police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination at Sadar Hospital.
