External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Monday. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) foreign ministers’ meeting. This marks Jaishankar’s first visit to the city in six years. Jaishankar, along with other SCO Foreign Ministers, conveyed greetings from President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to President Xi. He also updated the President on the recent developments in bilateral ties, expressing appreciation for the leaders’ guidance in this regard.
