In a significant development, the women’s wing of the Shiv Sena in Chhattisgarh has joined the Congress party along with their supporters. This move comes as a major setback for the Shiv Sena in the state. The women’s wing members were officially inducted into the Congress party in the presence of Chhattisgarh Congress President, Deepak Baij. This transition occurs while Shiv Sena leaders in Maharashtra, such as Uddhav Thackeray, are focused on unifying their party’s workers. In Chhattisgarh, however, the party continues to face fragmentation. A group of 40 women from the Shiv Sena’s women’s wing became members of the Congress at the PCC office, Rajiv Bhavan, under the leadership of PCC Chief Deepak Baij.
