A devastating road accident occurred in Koderma Valley, near Nauwan Mile, on the main Ranchi-Patna highway. The incident took place near Bandar Chuan when a container traveling from Koderma towards Bihar collided with four individuals from Meghatri village (Koderma) who were en route to Taraghati. Three people, including a minor, lost their lives in the collision. Initial reports suggest the container’s brakes failed, contributing to the accident. The deceased have been identified as Rahul Bhuiyan (30), a resident of Akbarpur, Bihar; Amit Kumar (13) from Meghatri, Koderma; and Mohit Kumar (18) from Kali Manda, Koderma. Mohit and Amit were on a motorcycle, while Rahul and Amar Bhuiyan were walking. Amar Bhuiyan (30), a resident of Kushahna (Meghatri), sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment at Koderma Sadar Hospital. Local residents transported the injured to the hospital in a tempo. The container veered off the road and into a ditch after the collision, resulting in minor injuries to the driver. Police, led by the Koderma station in-charge, arrived at the scene, took possession of the bodies, and initiated legal proceedings. Efforts to remove the container from the ditch are underway.
