Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for multiple development projects in Bihar’s Motihari, alongside flagging off four new Amrit Bharat trains. The projects are valued at over ₹7,200 crore. The Amrit Bharat trains will operate from Rajendra Nagar Terminal (Patna) to New Delhi, Bapudham Motihari to Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal), Darbhanga to Lucknow (Gomti Nagar), and Malda Town to Lucknow (Gomti Nagar) via Bhagalpur. Furthermore, keys were distributed to beneficiaries as part of the Griha Pravesh ceremony, and over ₹160 crore was released for 40,000 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin. Under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), ₹400 crore was released to approximately 61,500 Self-Help Groups in Bihar. Several railway projects were dedicated to the nation, including automatic signalling and doubling of rail lines, aimed at improving efficiency and reducing delays. These initiatives coincide with the upcoming Assembly elections in Bihar.
