The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the killing of Bashar Thabet, a Hamas commander involved in the group’s Development and Projects Department, responsible for weapons production research and development. The IDF stated that it dismantled terrorist infrastructure, eliminated terrorists, and destroyed tunnel shafts in Gaza. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) conducted airstrikes on approximately 75 terror targets, including military compounds and other terrorist infrastructure. Earlier, the IDF had eliminated Muhammad Uthayn, Commander of Hamas’ Daraj Tuffah Battalion. Meanwhile, protests occurred in Israel and outside the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, urging President Donald Trump to broker a deal for the release of hostages held by Hamas. Trump had previously indicated that more hostages would be released soon during ongoing ceasefire negotiations.
