Through X’s Community Notes feature, select paid users will gain deeper insights into their account performance. Posts that quickly gain traction will display a ‘callout’ notification, signaling that the content is performing exceptionally well.
Users will be able to rate and provide feedback on high-performing posts, assessing whether they appeal to a diverse audience or primarily resonate with a specific viewpoint. Posts receiving broad approval will earn a ‘Public Approval’ tag. Positive ratings from a range of users will trigger a message indicating the post’s popularity across various users and groups.
A new section called ‘Got Likes’ will also be launched on the Community Notes website, showcasing posts that have garnered significant positive feedback. While currently available to select users in the US, the feature will be rolled out to more users and countries in the future.
This feature aims to enhance transparency on the X platform, highlighting quality content and helping users avoid misleading or biased posts. It prioritizes valuable content over mere virality. This experiment shows that social media is shifting focus to present content with diverse perspectives and genuine user endorsement.
