Security forces achieved a significant breakthrough in East Singhbhum district during an anti-Naxal operation on Sunday. Acting on a tip-off, a joint team comprising the police, Jharkhand Jaguar, and CRPF conducted a raid, unearthing Rs 35 lakh in cash hidden underground in a forest area. Preliminary investigations suggest the money was intended for the Maoist organization to fund the laying of tunnels and purchase explosive materials. The police are investigating the source of the funds and the individuals involved, with the aim of dismantling the funding network.
