A three-day strike by Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars has commenced across the region. The strike, organized under the banner of the Junior Administrative Service Association, has brought several operations in the tehsil offices to a standstill, including registrations. The association had issued a notice on July 18th, warning of the strike. The protesting officials have been demanding resolution on their 17-point agenda, which includes issues such as staffing, promotions, and infrastructure improvements within the revenue department. The strike began on July 28th with a collective leave and protest at the district level. This will be followed by a collective leave and protest at the divisional level on July 29th, and a statewide collective leave and demonstration in the capital on July 30th. If their demands are not met by July 30th, an indefinite strike will be initiated.
