During a heated exchange in Parliament regarding the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra sharply criticized the government’s handling of the situation. She directly questioned Home Minister Amit Shah, asking why Pakistan was given refuge after the attack. Gandhi accused the government of diverting attention from core issues and evading accountability. She also highlighted the lack of security at the vulnerable Baisaran Valley, a popular tourist destination, and raised concerns about intelligence failures.
Responding to Shah’s references to her family, Gandhi emphasized her understanding of the victims’ pain. She countered Shah’s statements by questioning the government’s decisions, particularly the ceasefire and halt to the war efforts.
