The Chhattisgarh Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has made significant decisions aimed at improving various sectors within the state. A key highlight was the amendment to the Chhattisgarh District Mineral Foundation Trust Rules, 2015, aligning them with the latest guidelines from the Union Ministry of Mines and the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY)-2024. This will ensure that at least 70% of the funds are allocated to high-priority areas such as drinking water supply, environmental protection, health, education, agriculture, and social welfare. Additionally, the cabinet approved the establishment of a state-of-the-art archery training center in Jashpur district, aiming to nurture rural talent and promote sports. New rules regarding the extraction and transportation of ordinary sand were also approved to bring transparency and control, curb illegal activities, and ensure availability of sand at fair prices. Further, the cabinet addressed land valuation methods for agricultural lands and approved the allocation of land for a cricket academy in Nava Raipur, promoting sports infrastructure and development in the state.
