The High Court has granted significant relief to the Tomar brothers, who are implicated in a black market and usury case. The administration argued that destroying property acquired through illegal means was lawful. However, the High Court has issued an interim stay on the administration’s demolition action. During the hearing, the court clarified that the administration is also not above the law. Any action taken must have a clear and legitimate process behind it. Actions like demolishing a house fall under the category of arbitrariness without a competent judicial order and legal process. The hearing was conducted in the single bench of Justice Arvind Kumar Verma.
