In a shocking incident in Ranchi, Jharkhand, a man orchestrated a petrol attack on his girlfriend to frame a rival and secure a parking tender. The incident, which occurred on July 26th, involved the man, identified as Ganesh Singh, having petrol thrown on his girlfriend, Sonali Rai, in the Kanke police station area.
The motive behind the attack was revealed to be the securing of a parking tender. The victim, Sonali Rai, and Ganesh Singh were involved in a case with one Aman Chandra, who was an opponent in the bid for the parking tender. Ganesh Singh and his associate, Bhairav Singh, who was already in jail, plotted the attack to implicate Chandra and eliminate competition.
A fake Instagram ID was created using the victim’s phone and email to send threatening messages to Ganesh Singh’s ID and to spread rumors about Aman Chandra’s alleged involvement with a criminal gang. Following the plan, an individual sent by Bhairav Singh threw petrol on Sonali Rai, after which she was immediately taken to the hospital.
Police investigation, using technical analysis, exposed the conspiracy. Ganesh Singh has been arrested, and Bhairav Singh, already incarcerated, will be interrogated. Further investigation is underway regarding the victim’s role and the arrest of the individual who carried out the attack.
