Former MP Prajwal Revanna was found guilty by a Special Court in connection with a rape case involving a domestic help in Karnataka. The court, addressing one of the four rape cases against him, will announce the sentencing on August 2nd. The prosecution’s lawyer, Ashok Nayak, hailed the verdict as a victory and credited the SIT team’s investigation. Evidence, including video recordings of the acts, played a crucial role. The case stemmed from a complaint filed by the victim from K R Nagar, Mysore, and included charges under various IPC sections and the IT Act. The SIT collected extensive evidence and submitted a detailed charge sheet. Revanna was arrested in May 2024 upon his return from abroad and has been in judicial custody since then.
