A Bangladeshi woman, identified as Shanta Paul, has been arrested in Kolkata for allegedly residing in India with the use of fraudulent documents. The police have stated that Paul, who worked as a crew member for an airline and also pursued a career in modeling, was apprehended following the discovery of forged identification. She reportedly entered India from Barisal, Bangladesh, in 2023, using a valid passport, subsequently renting an apartment in Kolkata. It has also been reported that Paul is digitally married to Sahik Mohammad Ashraf, a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
