A shocking incident unfolded in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Saturday night, where a woman and her two children were found dead in their apartment. The incident occurred in the Nageshwar Enclave apartment complex in the Choria Toli area of Latma Road, under the jurisdiction of Jagannathpur police station. The police discovered the bodies and have initiated an investigation. The deceased have been identified as Sanyukta Singh and her two minor children, a son approximately 14 years old and a daughter around 12 years old. Sanyukta Singh was separated from her husband, Brijesh Singh. Reports indicate the couple had a long-standing dispute, with the matter pending in court. Brijesh Singh currently resides in Bihar, while Sanyukta lived with her children in the Ranchi apartment. According to local sources, besides domestic disputes, the couple also faced financial difficulties. It is suspected that these circumstances led Sanyukta to take this drastic step along with her children. The police were alerted when Brijesh Singh arrived at the apartment with supplies for his children and could not gain entry. After repeated attempts to contact them, he informed neighbors and the police. Upon arrival, officers broke down the door to find the grim scene. The bodies of Sanyukta Singh and her children were hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom. The police immediately sealed off the crime scene and summoned the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team for investigation. The FSL team collected evidence from the scene, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigations suggest the cause of death to be suicide due to domestic issues and financial strain. The incident has cast a pall of grief and silence over the neighborhood, with locals expressing deep shock. The police are questioning Brijesh Singh and other family members to determine the exact reasons behind the apparent suicides.
