Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has strongly criticized the central government’s approach to handling the border situation with China. Ramesh accused the Modi government of adopting a ‘DDLJ’ (Deny, Distract, Lie, and Justify) policy. He stated that since June 15, 2020, when 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in Galwan, every patriotic Indian has been raising crucial questions. However, over the past five years, the Modi government, instead of answering these questions, has pursued a policy of concealing and diverting the truth, which can be termed as DDLJ. The government’s policy is to ‘first deny, then distract, then lie, and then justify.’ Ramesh posed several pointed questions to the government following a Supreme Court comment that criticized Rahul Gandhi for his remarks about the army.
