With the launch of the Google Pixel 10 rapidly approaching, the company has released a teaser video that appears to directly target Apple. The video subtly critiques Apple’s promises and the delays surrounding its AI features. While Apple is not explicitly mentioned, the hints within the video strongly suggest that Google is making a statement about its competitor. The video’s message centers on the idea of reconsidering a phone purchase if a promised new feature has yet to materialize after a year. Google’s concluding statement, “Ask more of your phone,” emphasizes the capabilities of the upcoming Pixel smartphones and the timely delivery of their AI features. Apple had announced its new AI technology, Apple Intelligence, at the WWDC event in 2024. However, these features are not yet fully available to users. Moreover, the new version of Siri, a key component of Apple Intelligence, has not been included in iOS 18. Reports indicate that Apple may postpone this feature until 2026, even though work on iOS 26 has already begun. This delay has led to criticism of Apple, especially as other companies rapidly advance in AI.
