The Supreme Court has issued a notice to Karti Chidambaram, son of former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, regarding a money laundering case. The notice was issued in response to a petition filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against a Delhi High Court order. The apex court declined to stay the High Court’s order for the time being.
The Delhi High Court had previously ordered a stay on the trial proceedings. However, the Supreme Court decided against halting the High Court’s directive. The ED has been given four weeks to respond to the notice issued to Karti Chidambaram.
