In West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, security forces continued their intense operations against the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) organization on Friday. As part of a special operation in the Kolhan-Saranda area, the forces demolished three Naxalite bunkers and recovered a large amount of Naxalite materials. According to sources, top CPI (Maoist) leaders such as Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Anal, Asim Mandal, Ajay Mahto, Sagen Angaria, Ashwin, Pintu Lohra, Chandan Lohra, Amit Hansda alias Upton, Jaykant, Rapa Munda, and others were planning disruptive activities with their squads in the Saranda and Kolhan regions. Based on intelligence received on August 6th, regarding the concealment of materials in the forest-hilly areas of the Jarai Kela police station area, a joint team of Chaibasa police, Cobra 209 Battalion, CRPF, and Jharkhand Jaguar launched the operation. The operation led to the discovery and demolition of three Naxalite bunkers near Handekuli in the Jarai Kela police station area. The recovered items included wires, batteries, green and black Naxalite uniforms, jungle boots, backpacks, black scarves, steel containers, and black polythene, among other daily-use items. Investigations into the recovered materials are underway, and Naxalite activities are under constant surveillance. The joint operation is ongoing in the area, with the security forces aiming to eliminate every possible hideout of the Naxals.
