Mumbai Police have contacted comedian Kapil Sharma following a threat and a shooting incident at his cafe in Canada. Sources indicate that Sharma has not yet filed an official complaint. Despite this, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Sharma has informed the police that he has not received any direct threats from any gangsters. This follows a previous incident where shots were fired at his ‘Caps Cafe’ in Canada. The comedian had previously notified Mumbai Police about the initial shooting, stating that he hadn’t received any threats then either. This is the second such event, and the Crime Branch is taking the matter seriously, reaching out to Sharma. Sharma has reiterated to the police that he has not been directly threatened. The police are thoroughly examining the Call Detail Record (CDR) and Internet Protocol Detail Record (IPDR) of Kapil Sharma to prevent any potential criminal conspiracy. Additionally, the police are assessing whether to provide official police protection to Kapil Sharma. The Crime Branch is investigating all aspects of the case to neutralize any potential threats. Following the cafe shooting and the subsequent threat, the police are operating in an alert mode. Both the police and intelligence agencies are vigilant, not taking any potential connection or threat lightly. Although there is no direct complaint from Kapil Sharma, security precautions are being taken.
