Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) celebrated their first IPL title in 18 years, a victory significantly influenced by explosive opener Phil Salt. Salt continued his impressive form in ‘The Hundred’ tournament following the IPL. He has now become the first male cricketer to score 1000 runs in the league, accomplishing this feat in 37 innings. Salt had already surpassed 1000 runs in the IPL. Playing for Manchester Originals, the right-handed batsman achieved this milestone during a match against Oval Invincibles, scoring 41 runs. Salt hit a stunning six on the third ball of the innings to reach the 1000-run mark, and immediately followed it up with a massive 103-meter six off the bowling of Saqib Mahmood.
