Following the breaking of a ceasefire in March, Israel imposed restrictions on humanitarian aid to Gaza, escalating its attacks. This worsened the humanitarian situation in Gaza. International pressure led Israel to assign the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) to provide aid. However, security guards, in conjunction with Israeli soldiers, fired upon Palestinians queuing for food. The GHF was subsequently dissolved after these incidents. More than 800 starving Palestinians were killed during the GHF’s aid operations. Currently, various countries are conducting airdrops of humanitarian aid into Gaza. These airdrops, however, are also causing deaths. The Gaza government media office reported on Saturday that the deadly aerial assistance has exacerbated the man-made famine, with 23 deaths and 124 injuries resulting from unsafe airdrops.
