Following allegations of voter list irregularities and vote theft leveled by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi against the Election Commission, political tensions have heightened in Chhattisgarh. Accusations and counter-accusations continue between the opposition and the ruling party. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has responded to the controversy, stating that questioning the Election Commission is inappropriate. CM Sai asserted that the Congress party is quick to blame Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and the Election Commission when they face defeat, while accepting results when they are in their favor. The Chief Minister made these remarks during a media interaction at the Raipur Police Ground, after returning from a two-day visit to Jashpur. He shared details of his visit, including celebrating Raksha Bandhan with women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and distributing e-rickshaws to 12 women from self-help groups for economic empowerment. Additionally, he inaugurated Chhattisgarh State Rural Bank branches in three development blocks.
