In a distressing event, two cousins tragically lost their lives late Monday night in Maharashtra’s Thane district. The victims were subjected to a violent assault by unidentified individuals wielding swords and knives. The incident occurred around 11:30 pm on a road in Khardi village. Inspector Harshvardhan Barve of the Bhiwandi taluka police station confirmed the details. Both victims sustained critical injuries during the attack and collapsed at the scene. They were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals pronounced them dead. Authorities are currently investigating the motive behind the assault. The deceased have been identified as Praful Tangdi, aged 42, and Chetan Tangdi, aged 22, both residents of Khardi village, as confirmed by the police. The bodies have been sent to a government hospital for a postmortem examination. A case has been registered against the unknown assailants under Section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code, and the police have initiated a search to apprehend the perpetrators.
