Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and current Member of Parliament, Akhilesh Yadav, visited the ancestral home of Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Nemra, Ramgarh, on Tuesday. He paid his respects to the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, offering flowers at his portrait as a mark of deep reverence. During the visit, Akhilesh Yadav met with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, MLA Basant Soren, and other family members, expressing his heartfelt condolences and offering support. He also met with Rupi Soren, the mother of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and became emotional while speaking with her. Yadav conveyed to Rupi Soren that the people of Jharkhand stand with her in this time of sorrow and that her strength would provide support to Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He acknowledged that the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren dedicated his life to the welfare of the tribal, Dalit, exploited, and marginalized communities. Soren’s life will continue to inspire all. Though Dishom Guru Shibu Soren is no longer with us, his struggle, ideals, and personality will never be forgotten. He will be remembered as an influential leader who gave a new direction to society.
Meanwhile, the traditional Shradh rituals for the late Shibu Soren were observed on Tuesday, marking the eighth day. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with his family, completed the Shradh rituals according to traditional beliefs for the peace of the departed soul.
