Tesla is aggressively growing its presence in the Indian electric vehicle market, preparing to open its second retail center in the country. The new Tesla Experience Centre is scheduled to open on August 11 at the WorldMark 3 campus in Aerocity, Delhi. This location will cater to customers in the National Capital Region, a key area for the country’s EV push. This expansion follows closely on the heels of the first showroom launch in Mumbai at the Maker Maxity Mall on July 15. The Mumbai launch was marked by the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who welcomed Tesla and extended an invitation to establish R&D and manufacturing units in the state. The Aerocity center is nearing completion, with estimated monthly rent of approximately Rs 25 lakh. Images have already appeared on social media, showcasing the brand’s premium positioning. Currently, Tesla offers only the Model Y in India, with prices starting at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
