Microsoft is preparing to release a series of new AI-powered features for Windows 11 users, significantly enhancing the capabilities of the operating system. These updates include tools from the AI library, with a key highlight being the Copilot Vision feature. Copilot Vision allows users to scan and analyze content visible on their screen, providing an innovative way to interact with digital information. For instance, users can now use Copilot Vision to analyze what’s on their desk, and use it to answer questions about the items on the screen or across multiple applications and webpages. Furthermore, users can direct Copilot to perform actions like improving the lighting in a picture, making tasks like photo editing easier directly within Windows. Microsoft’s announcement, made in a blog post, outlined a gradual rollout of these features to all users. The new features are also designed for Copilot Plus personal computers. A new consumer AI report commissioned by Microsoft, indicates that approximately 60% of people are utilizing generative AI for work and business purposes and 64% are using it for personal interests and hobbies. These features are aimed at making common PC tasks more efficient.
