Skoda Auto entered the mid-size SUV segment in 2021 with the Kushaq, competing with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The automaker has decided to introduce the new Skoda Kushaq facelift, incorporating several changes to the exterior and interior. While the official launch timeline for the new Kushaq has not yet been revealed, media reports suggest the SUV might launch in late 2025 or early 2026.
The updated Kushaq has been spotted during testing and will feature a major upgrade: a panoramic sunroof. The current model of the SUV has a single-pane powered sunroof, which is available for the top-end Monte Carlo trim. The new Skoda Kushaq facelift will also offer Level-2 ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance System), already present in the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate. Additional features may include ventilated front seats, new seat upholstery, and trim elements.
Some minor cosmetic changes are expected in the new Kushaq, including slightly modified headlamps, a front grille with thinner vertical slats, a more squarish pattern for the air dam, and fog lamp clusters positioned lower. A new set of blacked-out alloy wheels will provide a fresh look to the side profile. At the rear, the new Skoda Kushaq may have thin tail lamps connected by an LED strip and a slightly altered bumper.
The new Skoda Kushaq is unlikely to see changes in its engine options. The mid-size SUV could be available with two turbocharged petrol engine options: a 115 bhp, 1.0-liter TSI and a 150 bhp, 1.5-liter TSI. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual (1.0-liter variant only), a 6-speed torque converter automatic (1.0-liter variant only), and a 7-speed dual-clutch (1.5-liter variant only).
