On the occasion of Independence Day, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation for various development projects in Raigarh district, totaling ₹62.36 crore. The projects included the inauguration of 45 works worth ₹42.99 crore and the foundation laying for 70 works valued at ₹19.36 crore.
The inaugurated projects include a bridge over the Bhengari Nala on the Panikhet to Aedukala road in Dharamjaigarh, costing ₹5.25 crore. Also inaugurated were a bridge over the Kharun River on the Pakargaon road in Lailunga, costing ₹6.39 crore. Furthermore, a single village piped water supply scheme was launched in Kharsia, Lailunga, and Dharamjaigarh, amounting to ₹28.53 crore.
Additional inaugurations included primary health centers and community buildings. These comprised primary health centers in Bahirkela of Dharamjaigarh and Lamdand of Lailunga, each costing ₹75 lakh, a community building constructed in Konpara village of Ghargoda, costing ₹7 lakh, and the CSPDCL 33/11 kV, 3.15 MVA work at the Khadgaon sub-center in Dharamjaigarh, which cost ₹1.25 crore.
Regarding foundation laying, the Chief Minister initiated the construction of Po.Mai. Tribal Boys’ Hostel buildings at seven locations in the district for ₹13.28 crore. These locations include Dhaurabhatha, Tamnar, Lailunga, Ghatgaon, Gharghoda, Bakaruma, and Dharamjaigarh.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for a watch tower in the RF room number 643 in Dharamjaigarh, costing ₹20.33 lakh, and a patrolling camp construction in room number 11 RF Kumarta for ₹10.88 lakh. He also laid the foundation for various projects including culverts, CC roads, footways, RCC culverts, shed construction, community buildings, panchayat buildings, and Mangal Bhavans in different Gram Panchayats of Dharamjaigarh, which cost ₹2.54 crore, and the repair of 44 health centers in the Lailunga, Dharamjaigarh, and Kharsia assembly constituencies, costing ₹3.22 crore.
