During the 2025 Independence Day celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a record-breaking speech, speaking for 103 minutes from the Red Fort. This marks the longest Independence Day address by any Prime Minister in the nation’s history. The speech commenced at 7:33 am and concluded at 9:16 am, surpassing his previous record of 98 minutes set in the prior year. This was also PM Modi’s 12th consecutive address from the Red Fort, second only to Jawaharlal Nehru’s 17 addresses.
