Tejasvi Dahiya delivered a match-winning performance for South Delhi Superstarz in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025, scoring an unbeaten 70 runs from just 30 balls. This incredible display led his team to a thrilling three-wicket victory against Outer Delhi Warriors at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The rain-shortened match was played over 16 overs.
Chasing a target of 140, South Delhi Superstarz faced early setbacks, losing key wickets in the initial overs. The top order faltered, including the loss of captain Ayush Badoni, putting the team under pressure. With the team needing over 70 runs in the last six overs, Dahiya, batting at number 5, launched a stunning counterattack. He smashed six sixes and four boundaries, shifting the momentum and putting the Superstarz in a strong position. With seven runs needed from the final two balls, Dahiya hit a six before hitting another six to seal the win. Sumit Kumar Beniwal also contributed a quick 19 runs from 7 balls.
Outer Delhi Warriors saw Suyash Sharma and Anshuman Hooda take two wickets each, while Harsh Tyagi impressed with a tight bowling spell. Batting first, the Warriors struggled to build significant partnerships. Sanat Sangwan scored a quick 26 off 14 balls, and Dhruv Singh made 42 off 31 balls. Shivam Sharma added 21 off 14 balls, bringing the team’s total to 139/8.
The Superstarz bowlers, including Aman Bharti and Sumit Kumar Beniwal, kept the Warriors in check with disciplined bowling, securing crucial breakthroughs.
