The anticipation for Salman Khan’s upcoming reality show, Bigg Boss 19, is building momentum even before its premiere. A recent promotional clip shared on Instagram revealed a significant twist this season, placing the power of contestant selection directly in the hands of the audience. Fans will decide who enters the house.
Two names have been shortlisted for potential entry: Shahbaz Badesha, the brother of Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shehnaaz Gill, and Mridul Tiwari, a prominent YouTuber. The ultimate decision rests with the viewers, who will vote to determine who secures a spot in the Bigg Boss house.
Mridul Tiwari is a well-known YouTuber, boasting over 18 million subscribers on his channel, The Mridul. Celebrated for his comedic sketches, he gained widespread recognition in 2019 following the viral success of his video, School Life. Originally hailing from Etawah and now based in Noida, Mridul’s name has also surfaced in news due to a connection to a hit-and-run case in Noida, although reports clarified that he was not driving the vehicle at the time.
Shahbaz Badesha is familiar to fans of Bigg Boss, having appeared in Season 13 as the brother of Shehnaaz Gill.
Rumors have been circulating on social media regarding potential celebrity participants in ‘Bigg Boss 19’. Names like Amaal Malik, Faisu Malik, Apoorva Mukhija, Dhanashree Verma, Rati Pandey, and Bhavika Sharma have been mentioned. Television actress Khushi Dubey has also confirmed being approached for the show. However, official announcements regarding the final list of participating celebrities are yet to be made.
While previous seasons of ‘Bigg Boss’ typically ran for three months, this season is anticipated to extend to five months. According to a report, the show’s host, Salman Khan, is expected to host for only three months. Guest hosts, including Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Anil Kapoor, are likely to take over later. Karan Veer Mehra won the trophy in the previous season, with Vivian Dsena as the first runner-up. Avinash Mishra, Rajat Dalal, Esha Singh, and Chum Darang were also in the finale.
