Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to commence a ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ (Vote Rights Yatra) in Bihar on August 17th, focusing on the issue of alleged vote theft. The yatra will begin in the Rohtas district, with the aim of protesting against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process underway in the state. The 16-day journey will cover approximately 24 districts across Bihar, concluding with a rally in Patna on September 1st. The yatra is designed to highlight perceived irregularities in the voter lists and to demonstrate the unity of the ‘India’ alliance ahead of the upcoming state elections. The yatra will include the participation of senior leaders and workers from all parties within the India alliance. The yatra will begin from Sasaram. Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav and other alliance partners may also participate.
