Tributes were offered in the Jharkhand Assembly to the late Ramdas Soren, the state’s Education Minister. Following his passing in Delhi on Friday night, his mortal remains were brought to Ranchi from Delhi on Saturday morning. The body was taken to the Assembly from the airport, where members paid their respects.
Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato expressed that Ramdas Soren was no longer with them, and his untimely demise had shocked everyone. He offered his prayers for the departed soul’s peace and extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family. He prayed for strength for his loved ones during this difficult time.
Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi stated that he was saddened by the news of Education Minister Ramdas Soren’s passing. He considered the loss an irreparable one for the state’s politics and society, and offered prayers for the departed soul’s peace and for strength to the bereaved family to bear their grief.
Those who offered their tributes included Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, State Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, former minister Mithilesh Thakur, Lok Sabha MP Joba Manjhi, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Manjhi, Congress state president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, former minister Badal Patralekh, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, along with several other officials.
