The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2025 celebrated the best in Indian cinema with its annual awards night, a gala of cinematic achievement. The film ‘Homebound,’ directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, was the evening’s biggest winner, securing the awards for Best Film and Best Director. Aamir Khan was honored with the Excellence in Cinema Award for his extensive contributions to the industry. Abhishek Bachchan won Best Actor (Male) for his performance in ‘I Want to Talk,’ while Gugun Kigpen received a Special Mention for ‘Boong.’ The festival showcased a diverse range of talent, recognizing outstanding work in various categories.
