A special discussion in the Lok Sabha will be held today to celebrate the achievements of India’s first astronaut, Shubhanshu Shukla, aboard the International Space Station. The discussion will focus on ‘The Role of the Space Program in Achieving a Developed India by 2047’. Alongside this, the Jan Vishwas (Amendment) Bill will be presented, followed by its referral to a Select Committee. The Indian Institute of Management (Amendment) Bill will also be introduced.
Shubhanshu Shukla received a grand welcome upon his return to India on Sunday following his historic journey to the International Space Station. A large crowd gathered at the airport, chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and playing drums to celebrate his arrival.
