Israel is advancing its objective of complete control over Gaza. The Israeli army has already seized 75% of Gaza, and a comprehensive plan is now in place to control the remaining areas. This includes the densely populated areas where displaced Gazans are residing, facing a lack of basic amenities. In the coming days, Israeli ground forces, in conjunction with the air force, will begin advancing into new territories to increase pressure on Hamas.
IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir has detailed the scale of the ground forces involved in the new Gaza City operation. Approximately one hundred thousand Israeli soldiers will be deployed to control Gaza, which is 41 kilometers long and 12 kilometers wide, meaning 273 soldiers per kilometer for the occupation.
