In a shocking incident in Kawardha, Chhattisgarh, a man fatally attacked his father and aunt. The accused used an iron crowbar to inflict the fatal blows. Following the gruesome event, the police promptly arrested the suspect and initiated an investigation. The incident occurred in the village of Indori, within the Piparia police station area of Kawardha district. The accused, identified as Ramkumar Kathle, aged 38, is alleged to have murdered his father, Narayan Kathle, and his aunt, Dharmin Bai, on Sunday. The Piparia police were alerted and arrived at the scene, documenting the scene and sending the bodies for post-mortem examination. The police apprehended the suspect and began questioning him to ascertain the motive behind the double homicide. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused had a dispute with his father concerning land division. During the argument, the suspect allegedly attacked his father with the crowbar. His aunt, who attempted to intervene and mediate the situation, was also struck with the weapon. Both victims died at the scene. A case has been registered against the accused under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) under the section related to murder. The police team, led by station in-charge Inspector Amit Kashyap, conducted a panchnama, registered a rural death report, filed a case, and arrested the accused. The investigation is ongoing.
