A significant development has emerged from the Balod district of Chhattisgarh. A case of rape has been filed against a Deputy Collector at the Daundi police station. The Daundi police registered the case following a complaint from a female constable. It is anticipated that the Deputy Collector may face arrest by the police shortly after the FIR was filed.
Specifically, Deputy Collector Dilip Uike, originally from Avari village in the Daundi block, is currently posted in the Bijapur district. The female constable from the CAF has leveled serious accusations against him. The woman alleges that the Deputy Collector had been sexually exploiting her for about a year, under the pretense of marriage. When he reneged on his promise of marriage, the woman went to the Daundi police station and filed a complaint against the Deputy Collector.
Following the woman’s complaint, the police have registered an FIR against him. There is speculation that the Daundi police may arrest the Deputy Collector soon, although the police are currently conducting further investigations.
It’s worth noting that approximately eight months ago, a man died on the spot when the car of Deputy Collector Dilip Kumar Uike collided with a vehicle on the Daundi Kachhe road near Avari Nala Andhiyabahar. Dilip Uike’s cousin brother and father, after getting his mother treated in Daundi, were returning to the village by car. A motorcycle coming from Bhanupratappur collided with the car near Avari Nala. Alakhram, the motorcycle rider, died in this incident. The police had registered a case against the car driver.
In related news, the Bijapur Collector had removed Dilip Uike from the post of in-charge CEO of Bhopalpatnam Janpad three months ago. Deputy Collector Dilip Uike had been holding the post of CEO of Bhopalpatnam Janpad for more than one and a half years, during which time he was also involved in controversies.
ASP Monika Thakur confirmed that the complaint was lodged by the female constable at the Daundi police station. The allegations include that an officer had physical relations with her for a year, promising marriage. When it came to marriage, he backed out. An FIR has been registered in the case, and further investigations are underway.
