The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, a compact SUV, has achieved a significant milestone, with its production surpassing 500,000 units. Launched in March 2023, the Fronx has been a popular choice among customers. Notably, the Fronx enjoys strong demand both domestically in India and internationally. Exports of the Fronx have exceeded 100,000 units. An impressive statistic is that one out of every five Fronx vehicles is exported from India.
The Fronx holds the distinction of being the first ‘Made-in-India’ SUV to be exported to Japan. Furthermore, it was the highest-exported passenger car from India in FY2024-25. Within the domestic market, the Fronx consistently ranks among the top 10 best-selling cars. Its growth trajectory has been rapid, reaching the 100,000-unit production mark by December 2023. It then hit 200,000 units in June 2024, 300,000 units by November 2024, and 400,000 units by February 2025. The most recent milestone, 500,000 units, was achieved in July 2025.
