To promote the Hero Asia Cup 2025, which will be held in Rajgir, Bihar, from August 29 to September 7, a trophy tour is traveling across all districts of the state. The tour, which began on August 17, aims to spread the passion for hockey to the masses. It will cover all districts of Bihar, as well as Chennai, Chandigarh (Punjab, Haryana), Delhi, Odisha, Assam, and Jharkhand. The purpose of the tour is to spark interest in hockey among youth, promote sports culture, and ensure public participation in this historic event. After visiting Patna, Vaishali, and Bhojpur, the trophy tour reached Buxar, Muzaffarpur, and Motihari on Tuesday, where it was warmly received. A welcome ceremony was held at the Buxar Collectorate, where the District Magistrate, Dr. Vidyanand Singh, and the Superintendent of Police, Shubham Arya, explained the importance of the Asia Cup and its significance in Bihar. A large number of players and local people enthusiastically welcomed the trophy and the players on the tour. In Muzaffarpur, the District Magistrate Subrat Sen, District Sports Officer Rajendra Kumar, physical education teachers Ram Kumar Rai, and Karunesh Kumar, along with a large number of players and locals, welcomed the trophy tour at the Muzaffarpur Collectorate. The District Magistrate symbolically played hockey to encourage the players.
In Motihari, the trophy tour was welcomed at the sports building cum gymnasium. District Magistrate of Motihari, Saurabh Jorwal, District Sports Officer Shubham Kumar, and District Development Commissioner Saurabh Suman Yadav, along with players and locals, gave a grand welcome to the trophy. District Magistrate Saurabh Jorwal provided detailed information about the Hero Asia Cup to those present and encouraged the players by symbolically playing hockey. The trophy tour is being welcomed with enthusiasm and zeal in every district it visits. The trophy tour will reach Rajgir on August 29, after passing through all the districts of Bihar.
