Sanjay Dutt is reportedly in talks to star in the Hindi remake of the Marathi film ‘Juna Furniture,’ directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. This collaboration would reunite Dutt and Manjrekar after nearly two decades, with their last project together being ‘Vaastav’ in 1999, a film that became a cult classic. The original ‘Juna Furniture’ received critical acclaim for its storyline, performances, and sensitive portrayal of a senior citizen and his IAS officer son. Manjrekar believes the story’s universal themes will resonate with a wider audience in a Hindi adaptation, which is why he has approached Dutt to play the lead role.
