At the Asian Shooting Championship 2025, the Indian pair of Saurabh Chaudhary and Suruchi Singh clinched a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event held in Shymkent, Kazakhstan on August 20th. Their impressive performance showcased their skills, although they faced initial challenges. This medal marks India’s fourth in the senior event, adding to their collection of one silver and three bronze medals. The duo initially trailed by 4 points but rallied to defeat the Chinese Taipei team of Heng Yu-Liu and Hsiang Chen-Hsieh with a score of 17-9 in the bronze medal match. In the qualification round, the Indian team secured fifth place with a score of 578 (20x), with Suruchi scoring 292 and Saurabh scoring 286. Suruchi started the qualification round with a perfect 10 but scored 94 in the second round and 98 in the final round. Chaudhary’s series scores were 95, 96, and 95. Another Indian pair, Palak Gulia and Aditya Malra, narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing 10th in the qualification round with a score of 575 (20x).
