Indian Railways has announced significant measures to facilitate travelers during the upcoming festivals. To accommodate the surge in passengers during Diwali and Chhath Puja, the railway will operate 12,000 special trains over two months. Travelers will also benefit from a 20% discount on return tickets. This discount will be applicable to passengers traveling between October 13th and 26th, with return journeys scheduled between November 17th and December 1st.
The new train services include the Amrit Bharat Express and Buddha Circuit trains. The Amrit Bharat Express will operate from Gaya to Delhi, Saharsa to Amritsar, and Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad. The Buddha Circuit trains will connect Vaishali, Hajipur, Sonpur, Patna, Fatua, Rajgir, Natesar, Gaya, and Koderma. Furthermore, a Vande Bharat train will commence service from Purnea to Patna. This initiative is expected to bring relief and joy to those traveling to and from Bihar from major cities.
